Registering Your Course

Each course that is intended for Blackboard use must be requested through the online registration form. After you have requested the activation of Blackboard for your course, the course will be added to the Blackboard system and all associated instructors and students will be enrolled in the course.

You can register only one course at a time. To register more than one course, please repeat the whole procedure.

To request activation of your course, please follow these instructions:

1. Go to the Curricular Support home page, click the BLACKBOARD at Union College link, and then the Online Blackboard Request Form link.

   

2. Select the ID number of the course you want to register in the particular term. If the course is cross-listed, it is listed only with the primary ID number. In that case, please choose the one that you find.
3. If you are still unable to find your course, click the Special link in the lower-right corner and fill out the form. Only courses that are not listed on the standard page can be registered through the Special form.
4. Click the Register > button. The user verification form will appear.
5. Below the selected ID, you can see the title of your course. If it is correct, fill out your last name (not your IDOL ID) and the last three digits of your Union College ID number (from your ID card).

   

6. Click the Register Course button.
7. If the registration is not confirmed...
   1. Re-enter your last name and the last three digits of your Union College ID number, and try again.
   2. If you are still unable to register the course, ask the official instructor of the course to register it.
   3. If none of the official instructors can register the course, go back to the first screen of the registration form, and click the Special link in the lower-right corner and fill out the special form.
