QuickTime in PowerPoint (Windows)
Embedding an Apple QuickTime movie in presentation
- In PowerPoint, make sure the Control Toolbox is showing. If not, choose View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox.
- Open a blank slide.
- Choose the "More Controls" button (circled below).

- Select "Apple QuickTime Control 2.0".

- Draw a rectangle (any size) on the slide, using click-and-drag with the mouse.
- Right-click on the white rectangle, and choose Properties. This will bring up the Properties dialog.

- To the right of the "URL" field, fill in the complete path and the file name, for example "E:\presentation\sample.mov".
- Note that the path to the file name is absolute. Whenever you move the video file, the path must be updated.
You are done.
Possible problems
- If you try to view the presentation more than once, the video may stop working properly. Restart PowerPoint to solve this problem (click "Yes" when asked to allow ActiveX objects).
